Heard + Held is hosting a T-Shirt Design Contest! We are looking for creative designs that embody our mission of helping individuals and families cope with pregnancy and infant loss.

 

We invite artists of all ages and skill levels to submit their unique and inspiring designs. The winning design will be printed on t-shirts and sold to benefit the ministry, and the winning designer will receive a free shirt!

 

Entries must be submitted by June 30th, 2023.

Contest Guidelines

Eligibility & Entry

There is no entry fee to submit a design. Only three (3) design submissions per person are allowed. If you are under the age of 18, your design must be submitted by a parent or guardian on your behalf.  

Rules & Guidelines
  1. This contest is open to the general public.

  2. All designs must be original creations of the contestant, and incorporate all of the design guidelines outlined below. Submissions must not have been previously published and must not contain profanity, trademarks, other organizations' logos, specific personal information, or any copyrighted works of any other person or business.

  3. Design(s) must be submitted in .pdf format via email to info@heardandheld.com by 11:59pm (ET) on June 30th, 2023.

  4. Designs must be created in either Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, GIMP, or a comparable photo editing program.

  5. Winning designer agrees to sign a waiver to allow Heard + Held the use of their design, free of charge, for any and all printing and promotional purposes.

  6. Contest winner must agree to submit a high-resolution layered vector art file within 7 days of notification and agree to work with the Heard + Held team if slight changes/modifications are necessary for production. If not, an alternate winner may be chosen due to meet the Heard + Held's needs.

  7. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to all contest rules. If you have any questions, please contact the Heard + Held team.

Design Guidelines
  1. Your shirt design must be representative of our organization's mission and should incorporate our name (Heard + Held) and/or our website (heardandheld.com) somewhere on the shirt.

  2. Designs may use up to four (4) colors. In addition, include what color of shirt would be needed to complement the design.

  3. Designs must be created in either Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, GIMP, or a similar photo editor. Designs created using t-shirt design websites like, Bonfire, CafePress, or Zazzle will NOT be accepted.

Sources of inspiration for your design might include (but are not limited to):

  • The Heard + Held logo & branding

  • Our website, blog, & social media

  • In honor of your own lost baby

  • 1-in-4 or 1-in-100 statistics

How a winner is selected

All design submissions will be reviewed by the Heard + Held team. One winning design will be selected according to the following criteria:​

  • Concept and originality of design

  • Visibility from a reasonable distance

  • Adherence to design and submission rules and guidelines

  • Successfully capturing the spirit and overall mission of Heard + Held

  • Totality of design and production readiness

Fine Print

Publicity and Agreement: Contest entry constitutes an agreement by the submitting designers to grant free license of all copyrights of the submitted works to Heard + Held (Heard and Held) in perpetuity, for publicity and promotional purposes. Eligibility of submissions is subject to review and approval of Heard + Held (Heard and Held).

Media Release: By submitting artwork, you agree that if your design wins, Heard + Held (Heard and Held) retains first printing rights and a free license, in perpetuity, to utilize the design on t-shirts and other promotional items, and marketing, fundraising, and public relations materials. You are guaranteeing that your design does not contain any copyrighted material, including images/copy found on the internet, unless clearly marked as published under a Creative Commons (cc) license. Contest entrants who are not selected as the winning designer(s) retain all rights to their artwork.
