Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Arts in Applied Theology, both from Carson-Newman University. She worked as a nurse for four years before becoming a stay-at-home-mom to her son, Caleb. Sarah enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and playing games in her admittedly limited spare time!

Muriel Kimbrough
Board Member
Muriel grew up in East Tennessee but relocated to Wilmington, NC in 2017 after graduating from Carson-Newman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. She currently serves as a Guardian ad Litem in New Hanover County and is honored to serve on the Board for Heard and Held. She works full-time as a litigation paralegal and her hobbies include spending time with her husband and dog, reading, and caring for her plants.
Hannah Yoder, CNM
Board Member
Hannah went to nursing school in Knoxville, TN before earning her Master's in Midwifery. She relocated to South Bend, IN to work at a hospital-based midwifery practice in the middle of the city. She believes strongly that the heart of midwifery is to "be with women" through all the stages of womanhood, joys and hard times and is honored to serve on the board of Heard and Held. When she is not present at deliveries or in the clinic, Hannah enjoys exploring trails around Lake Michigan, frequenting coffee shops, and cultivating relationships with friends.
